Do I have to include https:// ?

Yes. Type the full address with http:// or https:// so a phone camera reads it as a link and opens it rather than showing it as plain text.

Can I see how many people scanned it?

No. The link sits inside the code itself, so a scan never touches this site. Nothing counts it, here or anywhere else.

Can I change the link later without reprinting?

No. The address is baked into the pattern. A new destination means a new code, so settle the address before you print.

What size should I print it?

Large enough that a phone can hold the whole square in frame from a comfortable distance. Scan the printed copy before the full run.

  • The address is fixed once the code is drawn, so settle the destination first.
  • A higher error correction level keeps the code readable when part of it is scratched or covered.
  • Test the printed copy, not only the screen. Ink, paper and lighting all change how a camera sees it.
  • Leave clear space around the square. A pattern that runs into artwork is harder for a camera to find.
