Frequently asked questions
How do I put a lunch break on the timesheet?
In minutes, in that day's break column. An hour is 60. You do not need the break's start and end times. Or clock out and back in using the second pair, and the gap drops out.
Can it do a two-week timesheet?
Yes. Choose the two-week pay period and the grid opens out to fourteen days. The overtime test stays weekly, so a 45-hour week followed by a 35-hour week gives five overtime hours.
Does it work out overtime and pay?
Yes, once you switch the panel to 'Period and pay'. That adds an hourly rate and an overtime multiplier, and hours past the threshold, forty a week unless you change it, are priced separately.
Is the timesheet saved anywhere?
No. The arithmetic runs in your browser and nothing you type is sent or stored. Close or refresh the page and every field is empty again.
Breaks, in minutes
Fill one row per day: start, end, and unpaid break minutes. Daily and period totals build as you type. Set the period to one week or two, and overtime splits out at the threshold you choose.
- The break column takes a length, not a clock time. Add several unpaid breaks together: a 30-minute lunch and a 15-minute break are entered as 45.
- The other route is the second in and out pair: clock out for lunch, clock back in, and the gap is left out on its own.
- Paid breaks do not belong in that column. Leave them inside the shift, since the column subtracts whatever you put there.
