Frequently asked questions
Can I mix JPG and PNG files in one PDF?
Yes. JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP and HEIC can all sit in the same document. Each image becomes a page, in the order you arranged them.
Are my photos made smaller or recompressed?
Pictures go in at full resolution. What you control is the page: its size, its orientation and the margin around the image.
Does the camera data travel with the photo?
No. Camera, location and date fields are not carried into the PDF, in either direction of this conversion.
Can I go the other way and get images out of a PDF?
Yes. Switch direction and every page is rendered as a separate JPG or PNG at a resolution you pick, packaged as a ZIP. Switching clears the current files.
Images That Become Pages
Add images and they become the pages of one PDF. JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC can be mixed in the same file. The panel also runs the other way, turning PDF pages back into images.
- A stack of photographed receipts arrives as one document instead of a dozen attachments.
- Phone photos are often HEIC. They go in as they are, with no conversion step first.
- The order you set on screen is the page order in the file, so check it before saving.
- The reverse direction is on the same panel, when you need the pages of a PDF as image files.
