Do I have to convert my PNG files first?

No. PNG goes straight in. So do JPG, JPEG, WebP and HEIC, and they can be mixed in the same document.

How many PNG files can go into one PDF?

There is no set limit. What you can do is bounded by the memory on your device, since the whole document is assembled there.

Can I change the page size?

Yes. Page size, orientation and margin are all set before the PDF is built. The picture itself goes in at full resolution.

Can I get PNG files back out of a PDF?

Yes. Switch the panel around and each page is rendered as a PNG or JPG at a resolution you choose, delivered as a ZIP.

Where PNG Files Come From

Screenshots and exported graphics are usually PNG. Drop them in, put them in order, and they come out as the pages of one PDF. JPG, WebP and HEIC files can join them.

  • PNG is what most screenshot tools save, so a run of screenshots turns into a readable document rather than a folder.
  • Exported charts and logos are usually PNG. Putting them in a PDF fixes the page size for printing.
  • A PDF holds many pages; a PNG holds one picture. That is the reason for the trip.
  • Mixed folders are fine. A PNG and a phone photo can sit on consecutive pages.
