The rule

  • Your browser already knows how to decode, resize and re-encode images
  • So the whole job happens on your device, in seconds
  • Any size, any number of files, one ZIP at the end
  • Nothing uploaded, nothing to delete afterwards
  • Only jobs that can run fully on your device are offered

How it pays for itself

  • Advertising in fixed, labeled positions — never above or over the tool, never while files process
  • No pop-ups, no waits — the tool is always usable
  • Ad partners never see your files; those never leave your device
  • Google Analytics 4 loads only when you accept both Analytics and Advertising — pages, tools, counts and size ranges, never filenames
Commitments

What we will not do

  • Upload, store, scan or transmit any file you process.
  • Add a server-side fallback when a browser cannot do a job — the tool tells you instead.
  • Add file size caps, quotas, watermarks or sign-up walls.
  • Show an ad above the tool, over the tool, or while a batch is running.
  • Publish near-duplicate pages of the same tool to chase search rankings.

Third-party software

The HEIC converters use heic-to 1.6.5 (© Hopper Gee), which contains libheif 1.23.5 (© 2017-2025 Dirk Farin) and the libde265 1.0.16 HEVC decoder (© 2013-2014 struktur AG, Dirk Farin), compiled to JavaScript. All three are licensed under the GNU LGPL 3.0. The decoder is served unmodified as its own file, heic-to.js, and loaded only when your browser cannot open HEIC by itself; you may replace it. The licence and source notice gives the exact source versions and the full LGPL 3.0 and GPL 3.0 texts.
