Colour work for a screen: the same colour written as HEX, RGB and HSL, a pair checked against the WCAG contrast ratios before it ships, a gradient with the CSS already written out, and a palette pulled straight out of a photo you have.

Frequently asked questions

Which contrast standard is used?

WCAG 2.1 contrast ratio. The checker reports the number and whether the pair passes AA and AAA, for normal and for large text, so you can cite it in a review.

How does picking colours from an image work?

You choose a photo and it is drawn in the page on your device. Pixels are read from that canvas; the image is never uploaded, and nothing is kept once you close the tab.

Can I copy the CSS out?

Yes. The gradient generator writes the CSS for the gradient you built, ready to copy. These pages hand back text, not a downloaded file.
