How does the calculator handle leap years?

The calculator correctly accounts for leap years (years divisible by 4, except for years divisible by 100 but not by 400). This ensures February 29th is handled accurately, providing a precise age calculation for any date range.

Is my date of birth saved or stored anywhere?

No. Your date of birth is used only for the calculation, which happens entirely within your web browser. The information is never sent to our servers and is gone as soon as you close the browser tab. Your privacy is fully protected.

Can I calculate the age of something other than a person?

Yes. The tool calculates the time duration between any two dates you provide. You can use it to find the age of a company by using its founding date, the age of a building from its completion date, or the time since any historical event.

Why is the 'total days' result different from the years/months/days breakdown?

They represent the same duration. 'Years, months, days' is a conventional format for age. 'Total days' is a raw count of full days passed. For example, '1 year' is the same as '365 total days' (or 366).

Can I calculate my age on a future date?

Yes. In the second field, labeled 'Age at the date of,' select any date in the future. The calculator will instantly show you how old you will be on that specific day, down to the exact number of years, months, and days.
