Frequently asked questions
How do I go from inches back to centimeters?
Put inches on the input side and centimeters on the other. The two menus are independent, so either unit can be the one you start from.
Is my measurement sent anywhere?
No. The conversion is arithmetic done by the page itself. Nothing you type is posted, logged or stored, and closing the tab clears it.
Why is the last digit different from my calculator?
The figure is rounded so it stays readable. A calculator carrying more decimal places can land on a different final digit for the same conversion.
Can I convert other lengths in the same panel?
Yes. Both unit menus in the length category hold the full list, so the panel is not limited to centimeters and inches.
