Background

What each case does to your words

Title case capitalises every word, including short joining words. Sentence case lowercases the rest of the line, so a name you typed in capitals comes back with one capital.

  • Upper case and back does not restore the original. The capitals a name used to carry are gone once they are flattened.
  • Keep the original if the capitalization carries meaning, as it does in product names, acronyms and code.
