How to use 3D QR Code Generator

Frequently asked questions

Will a 3D QR code actually scan?

From the front view, yes — it is a standard matrix with its quiet zone, drawn from straight on. Tall blocks seen at an angle can cover their neighbours, which is why printing uses the front view.

The printed code will not scan — what now?

Re-export from the Front view, print it at least 2 cm wide, and check the contrast between block and base colours. Then scan the new sample before the full run.

Can the background be transparent?

Yes for the PNG — it carries real alpha. Whatever you place it on becomes the quiet zone, so keep that surface plain and light.

Why did error correction lock to H?

A centre logo covers modules, and H is the only level that reserves enough redundancy to read through the hole. Remove the logo and the picker unlocks.

How big can the logo file be?

Up to 4 MB, as PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG. The file is read in your tab and never uploaded.

Does the spinning GIF scan?

Not reliably, and it is not meant to — it is a screen decoration for a post or a slide. Put the front-view PNG anywhere a phone should read.

Is anything uploaded while I use this?

No. The text, the logo and every export are produced in this tab. Nothing about them is sent anywhere, including to analytics.

Printing a Raised Code That Still Reads

Type a link or text and the blocks rise out of it. Three camera angles, colour pickers for blocks and base, a height slider, a logo slot and PNG or GIF export sit in one panel.

  • Print from the front view; keep the angled exports for screens where nobody needs to scan.
  • Keep block colour dark on a light base — a raised code needs the same contrast as a flat one.
  • Leave the quiet border alone; art crowded against the code costs more reads than any block height.
  • Scan the screen before you print and the first sample after — two scans catch nearly everything.
