Frequently asked questions
Is a 3D QR code readable by a normal phone camera?
Yes, from the front — the pattern is a standard QR matrix. The depth is drawn for people; the phone still sees light and dark squares.
Which view should I print?
The front view, always. Raised blocks seen from an angle can hide the modules behind them, and a hidden module is a misread.
Can I put my logo in the middle?
Yes — PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG up to 4 MB. Error correction locks to H while it is there, so the code keeps reading through the covered area.
How large can the PNG be?
4096 pixels square at the top setting, with 2048 and 1024 below it. All three carry real transparency when the base is set transparent.
What is the GIF for?
Screens — a post, a slide, a product page. It shows the code turning. For anything a phone must read, use the front-view PNG.
Does my link get stored anywhere?
No. The code is drawn in this tab and the address inside it is never written to any server, including this site’s.
Where a Raised Code Works Best
The maker opens on a text box; type a link and the raised code appears. Rotate it, colour it, drop a logo in the middle, then export a PNG from the view you need.
- Product packaging and posters carry 3D codes well — print the front view, large.
- On screen the spinning GIF draws the eye; place the scannable PNG next to it.
- Dark blocks on a light base read best; reverse it and test before committing.
- Treat every angled export as artwork, and every front export as the working code.
