Is a signature created with this tool legally binding?

Electronic signatures have legal standing in many countries, but requirements vary by jurisdiction and document type. For specific legal cases, you should consult local regulations to ensure compliance.

Is my document sent to your server?

No, never. The entire process, from opening the PDF to adding the signature and generating the new file, happens within your web browser on your own computer. Your document's confidentiality is maintained because it never leaves your control.

Can I remove a signature after I add it?

No. Once you download the PDF, the signature is part of the page content and cannot be edited. To make a change, you must start over with the original, unsigned document.

Can I fill out other form fields in the PDF?

This tool is designed specifically for the task of adding a signature. It does not currently support filling out interactive form fields such as text boxes, checkboxes, or radio buttons. Its focus is on providing a secure way to sign a completed document.

What is the best way to create a signature?

Drawing is personal. Typing is fastest, but it uses a handwriting, serif or plain face your own device has, so it can look different elsewhere. A PNG of a real signature is the most consistent.

What happens if I switch to another tab while it works?

The work pauses and picks up where it left off when you come back. Browsers throttle hidden tabs, so a job left running in the background would slow to a crawl or stall outright.

Can I type my name in Chinese or Japanese?

Yes. A typed signature is drawn on a canvas here and embedded as a transparent PNG, so it uses your own device's fonts. Any script works, including Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
