How to use Add Border to Image

Frequently asked questions

Does the border cover part of my image?

No, the border is added to the outside, so the canvas size of the image increases. Your original picture is not cropped or covered.

What format does the framed image come back in?

The same one you added. A JPG stays a JPG, and a PNG stays a PNG and keeps its transparency. A HEIC photo comes back as a JPG so it opens anywhere. The quality slider starts at 92.

Can I add an inner border?

This tool only adds an outer border. An inner border would require cropping or scaling the original image, which is a different function.

How many images can I add at once?

There is no fixed limit. Past about 500 MB the page warns you before it starts. Files with the same name get a number added inside the ZIP. Older browsers are told plainly that they cannot run this.
