Frequently asked questions
Can I add a repeating, tiled watermark?
Yes. Turn on the tile switch and the mark is repeated on a diagonal across the whole picture, text or logo alike.
Will this tool store my watermark for later use?
No. Since nothing is stored on a server, you will need to provide your watermark text or image each time you use the tool.
Can I remove a watermark from an image?
No, this tool only adds watermarks. Removing a watermark is a complex process that this tool is not designed to perform.
How many images can I add at once?
There is no fixed limit. Past about 500 MB the page warns you before it starts. Files with the same name get a number added inside the ZIP. Older browsers are told plainly that they cannot run this.
Can I change the color of the text watermark?
No. Typed marks are always drawn in white, which reads on most photos. For a colored or branded mark, upload it as a logo file instead — PNG, JPG and SVG all work.
Effective Watermarking Tips
You can use another image as a logo or type custom text. Place the watermark and set its position, size, and opacity to suit your needs.
- A good watermark is visible but not distracting. Lowering the opacity and placing it in a corner is common for subtle branding.
- For copyright protection, a larger or more central watermark may be needed. Avoid placing it over the most critical part of the image.
